Got a great idea for a new product but no idea how to get it to the marketplace? You can learn from Tereson Dupuy who is known as the Mother of Invention in this episode of the One Percent Club Podcast.
Tereson is an inventor and entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience. She invented a modern version of a cloth baby diaper in 2000 called “FuzziBunz” and pioneered an industry that had been for the most part annihilated by the onslaught of the disposable diaper mindset 40 years prior. Her product and business experienced extremely rapid growth in the first 5 years over doubling in growth every year. She built her own manufacturing and distribution facility and after 6 years grew to the point of needing to outsource to keep up with demand. She has manufactured products in the USA, Mexico, China and Turkey.
Tereson has pitched many investors over the course of her career and appeared on the ABC show “Shark Tank” in 2012 to give the pitch of her life in front of 5 intimidating “sharks” and 5.5 Million viewers. It is safe to say that she is NO stranger to the process and knows what is needed to make a successful business a reality.
Over the course of 15 years Tereson has seen many ups and downs, trials and tribulations, weathered patent infringement wars and manufacturing disasters and has seen much success and failure. It is through this experience that she is now helping other fledgling inventors and entrepreneurs bypass the learning curve that she had to navigate and expedite their success from learning from her experiences.
Tereson is now partner in a company called INFANTC Trading Company, LLC that holds the “FuzziBunz” brand that she created and is actively involved in the day to day operations of brand management and strategic planning.
