With the economy beginning to show signs of recovery, workplace holiday events are making a comeback. According to the 2010 Challenger Holiday Party Survey 68 percent of businesses plan to host a holiday party this year as opposed to 62 percent last year. However, after another year of budget cuts and layoffs, most businesses plan to keep the festivities simple.
