But it wasn’t a joke or a misprint. The release cited the Small Business Economy 2012 Annual Report as the basis for the bold headline. Dr. Winslow Sargeant, Chief Counsel for Advocacy, stated the report demonstrates that small businesses have been at the core of our economy’s growth over the past few years.
How is the economy affecting your small business? Many small businesses blame the economy for their inability to grow, and their outlook remains tepid at best. The NFIB’s Small Business Optimism Index for January was just 0.5 points above November’s historical low.
